Coddled Critters

While everyone says "Make yourself at home" and "Help yourself to whatever is in the fridge" - not everyone has anything (or anything we will eat) in the house when they leave. If we are to live in your house, we need sustenance. If you have a full pantry and fridge and freezer full of a variety of foods then you probably don't need to worry about extra shopping because we will most likely find something we like. If your cupboards are bare... then this list is for you. :)

This is just a list of foods we like. You are not expected to buy everything on it! It is perfectly okay to deviate from it too, it is just to give you an idea of what foods we eat since you are providing our meals. Use your judgment based on how long your trip is. Like if you buy a box of cereal and some 2% organic milk that covers several breakfasts, you don't have to buy a different breakfast for each day. Same with like sandwich stuff for lunch, or a bag of chicken to make dinners.

Main things to know about me are that I do not eat pork (except rarely pepperoni on a thin crust pizza - and even then I pick most of them off...), dark meat fish or chicken or most vegetables (though I like to grow them!) I like just about any kind of white bread and Barilla pasta.

Breakfast Ideas: Slim Fast - Royal Chocolate (store brand actually preferable), eggs, turkey bacon, bagels, cream cheese, cereal with marshmallows (Fruit Loops, Frakenberry, Lucky Charms/ Rasin Bran/ Frosted Flakes/ Golden Grahams, donuts (chocolate, chocolate filled, white filled, cake type, powdered sugar or cinnamon coated, donut holes... but really please don't provide much of these!), fruity muffins, Jiffy fruity muffin mixes. Just about any fruit juice or mix of juices. 2% organic milk (Forest prefers SilkMilk)

Lunch Ideas: turkey or chicken lunch meat, white bread, just about any kind of cheese (but not with peppers - just plain), cottage cheese, pears, apples, bananas, white albacore tuna in water, crackers, kosher hot dogs, regular Doritoes (Forest prefers Ranch)

Dinner Ideas: those bags of precooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts (they are like $7 and will last several meals), just about any kind of lean beef, lean ground turkey, chicken breasts, white flaky type fish, potatoes (a potato with some butter and cheese can be a meal by itself), green beans, peas, carrots, corn, asparagus, salad (no tomatoes necessary!)

Drinks: Forest and I both drink plain water - bottled or filtered is great. We like juices, apple minute maid orange, mixed flavors. I drink cokes and Mr. Pibb sometimes and Forest is addicted to root beer
